Performer Discount Giveaway Guidelines
Congratulations from the New Jersey Library Association and the New Jersey State Library to all the winners of the $300.00 raffle for a performer or performers of your choice as part of this year's statewide summer reading program.
To receive this award, you must agree to use one or both of the statewide summer reading themes at your library: "Paws, Claws, Scales and Tales" for your children's program and/or "Creature Feature" for your teens. Please remember that in order to reimbursed, you need to submit your request by the end of the summer, 2006.
As soon as you have a contract with a performer, you must notify Sue Rice in the NJLA office.

She will need a copy of the signed contract with the name and address of the performer(s) and the amount you have agreed to pay by the beginning of the summer. Your library will pay the performer, and after the event, NJLA will reimburse your library for the amount specified in the contract up to $300.00. Please indicate who the check should be made out to. She needs this information up front so that she can be prepared to issue a check as soon as you have had the program.
You have until the end of the summer to submit your reimbursement request. If you fail to do so, the amount you were awarded will be returned to the general Summer Reading account. The only exception is for performers you have contracted with for a final summer reading event in September. By the end of that month, however, all of your paperwork must be completed.
One final stipulation for receipt of this award: You need to submit a picture and/or a copy of your library's press release, sent out prior to or after the event has been held to:
